Our Why
This website was created as a way to keep track of and share my experiences as a new instructional coach. My hope is to create a community of passionate educators who share and support one another. It's a great place to come for ideas, resources and inspiration. As educators we give so much of ourselves to our profession and the students we work with that it is also important to make time to "refill our buckets". Whether you do that through hobbies you enjoy, spending time with family, exercise, meditation or other means, the I hope you will join us on this path to both personal and professional growth and well being.
About me
As a lifelong educator for almost 20 years, I have worked with over 300 students who come from economically disadvantaged homes, are recent immigrants and/or second-language learners in big inner cities. It has been the most challenging yet rewarding experience of my life. I have absolutely loved it! In my new role as an instructional specialist, I am looking forward to applying the knowledge and experience I have gained to help support other educators in being successful. Teachers have so much on their plates and their jobs are extremely important to our children's future! My goal is to help walk beside them as their biggest supporter and advocate.
